The City of Fairfax School Board approved the FY ’22-26 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) proposed by Superintendent Dr. Phyllis Pajardo. The CIP, a planning guide for facility maintenance and projects, emphasizes many community use projects including the auditorium and fields at Fairfax High School. Other items in the CIP are roof replacement, renaming costs at Fairfax High School and Lanier Middle School and upgrades to the two elementary schools such as replacing carpet floors with tile, new HVAC systems and painting.
The plan was presented by Dr. Pajardo in October of this year. Public hearing was held in October and November and the vote was taken in December.
