Twenty Three FHS DECA Students Place at Nationals

Twenty three Fairfax High School students were recognized as finalists at the Virginia DECA State Leadership Conference held February 28-March 1 in Virginia Beach. These students earned the right to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference April 29-May 2 in Nashville.

The Community Awareness team of Abby Garcia and Elle McNally were notified that their AT&T #LaterHaters campaign to end cyberbullying received second place internationally in the AT&T and DECA Later Haters challenge.  The students and their project will be recognized at the DECA International Career Development Conference.

DECA is a career and technical student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs to be college and career ready.  In the Commonwealth of Virginia, DECA members are enrolled in a marketing education class at their high schools.
